Dear friends,

The New Moon in Leo takes place on August 8, 2021 at 9:49:57 am in Washington, DC.  It is occurring on the Lion’s Gate ~ eighth day of the eighth month creating double 8s (manifestation numbers).  The Lion’s Gate is a lovely portal into the higher realms of consciousness, love, vitality and creativity.  It is also the cross-quarter day, Lammas or Lughnasadh.

From the internet: Lammas was the midpoint between the summer solstice and autumnal equinox.
Traditionally a festival associated with harvesting grain, it marked the beginning of the wheat harvest, and especially celebrated the first wheat or corn crop. Grains harvested at Lammas time also include barley, oats, and sunflower. Tenant farmers would present the first crop harvest to their landlord.

  • Lughnasadh was the wedding of the Sun god Lugh to the Earth goddess, causing the ripening of crops.
  • The church transformed it into the “feast of first fruits.” Villages would take the first loaves of bread to the church.
  • After the loaf was blessed, the farmers broke it into four pieces and placed each piece in the corners of their barn to protect the newly harvested grain. Lammas bread was often made in shapes including wheat, owls, and corn dolls.

The New Moon chart has three mystic rectangles ~

  1. Sun, Moon, Juno, South Node, Saturn, North Node ~ what are you going to partner with to manifest your life (or not partner with any more)?
  2. Chiron, Sun, Moon, Vesta, Saturn ~ where are you going to build your life to help you work on your soul’s journey (as well its wound)?
  3. Juno, South Node, Chiron, North Node, Vesta ~ how does your home and hearth (this means your body too) need to change or be partnered with to create that space of healing and growth?

The mystic rectangles are intertwined so they feed on each other as the New Moon brings the energy to the forefront, gives it a dose of fiery passion and shoots it out into the world.  Yes we see fires around the globe.  We have fires within us too!  Harness that passionate vision.  You don’t (and can’t) do it all at once, but you get the idea now.

There also is a lovely Finger of God or YOD with Mercury in Leo as the apex and Pluto in Capricorn and Neptune/Pallas Athena in Pisces as the legs pulsing with creative juices.  Follow the inspired idea that calls you.  Mercury in Leo wants you to pursue that passion of yours ~ especially as it ignites your heart, invokes your passions and warms your life. What does it mean to live from the passion of your heart?

Completing the divinely inspired New Moon, there is a Star of David in Air and Fire.  The Grand Trine in Fire (too much fire?) Leo Sun and Moon, Juno and South Node in Sagittarius, and Chiron in Aries combines with the Grand Trine in Air (too dry? Too much air?) Vesta in Libra, Saturn in Aquarius and North Node in Gemini.  Air and Fire Stars of David invite us to sit with our ideas and visions to formulate plans and activities we are going to take.

With all this fabulous energy in the heavens, make sure to do an inspiring ritual about the next chapter of your life!  The heavens are listening!!  Consider registering for my Leo New Moon Manifestation Circle Sunday night, August 8, 2021 at 7:30 pm Eastern.

Big hugs,

Anne
